VC01
illustrates a potential future for devices that increasingly resemble assistants, with AI forming the core of the OS. It eliminates the need for a keyboard, focusing instead on voice and touch interactions. It uses a context-sensitive Keybar, which can display autocompletions, buttons, or touch sliders, depending on the task at hand.
Axis Display
is a fictional display with a slim screen supported by a sturdy, all-aluminum stand. All connections are seamless and exceptionally robust, ensuring a stable and reliable display. Additionally, it offers adjustable height and screen tilt for optimal viewing and interaction.
Pocket Stack
While larger screens and thinner devices have long been the focus of modern smartphones, this concept takes a different approach. As software becomes increasingly intelligent, the need for detailed touch inputs diminishes. More and more interactions can be orchestrated through natural language, either spoken or typed, reducing the necessity for displaying a large amount of information. The screen size is minimised to its essential use, and the device's thickness, coupled with grip-friendly sides, makes it comfortable to hold.
Overglow
While numerous foldable smartphones exist, this concept features a foldable, backlit ePaper screen, designed to emulate the form factor of a small book. It aims to blend the traditional charm of reading from a physical book with the advanced technology of ePaper displays. The foldable design not only enhances portability but also protects the screen from potential damage.
